In 2003, Mike Burton was part of a team that acquired C&K Trucking and Mike became the company’s President. Over the years, C&K Trucking grew in size and completed several acquisitions to better serve their customers. The acquisitions included AV Logistics, Skyline Express, and recently acquired Pacific Green Trucking. Each has built an independent reputation for providing safe, timely, and efficient intermodal transportation and/or providing expert management and programs to help customers control costs.
Now, there is a new chapter with the acquisition of our companies by MEDLOG USA, an MSC Company. With this change, the MSC board of directors appointed Mike Burton as President of MEDLOG USA. We sat down with Mike to better understand this change, MEDLOG, and what it will mean for customers and employees.
Congratulations, Mike! How do you feel about your new appointment?
I’m proud to be able to help shepherd into this exciting new future as MEDLOG USA. I’m also grateful that MSC appointed someone with a personal history and deep knowledge of all our companies to lead the transition. I am excited to apply my years of experience to help our team ensure a seamless experience for our valued customers.
Who is MEDLOG?
MEDLOG is the independent transport and logistics provider of MSC, with more than 80 locations worldwide. The company specializes in multimodal transportation, including road, rail, barge, and ocean services, and is one of the world’s most geographically comprehensive supply chain providers. MEDLOG USA is now the parent company’s inland transportation arm in North America and will oversee all our companies.
